Gameplay for Total War: Arena if you're familiar with the Total War Series,
it's basically the combat without the Campaign.
You control 3 units and work with your team of 9 other players to achieve one of the 3 win conditions.
  1. Annhilating all Enemy Units
  2. Capturing the Opponent's Base
  3. Have the higher Balance Of Power when Time runs out (15 mins)

Alongside Units, you have a choice of your commander which brings 3 extra skills along with it.
Commanders have a Unit Bias is which their skills are ideal for.
Which means that when using other types of units, certain skills may not be available for them.
(Skills can be used individually by all units.)
Losing your commander will bring down the overall Morale of your army so keep track of the Unit they're in.
(I believe it'll always be in unit 1)

Commanders also allow you to participate in more than one fights at a time.
When you've lost all your units, the battle doesn't end there.
It'll continue until one of the Victory conditions have been fulfilled.
In the meantime however, you can quit the match and search for a new
with a different commander and receive the rewards when it ends.

Commanders also give x2 EXP to their first win Daily.

Unit's Tech Tree function the same way as the other Wargaming.net games.
Basically, you play games to earn unit Exp where you can only use on that unit & free Exp
where you can use on everything.
(Mainly on acquiring commanders and commander tech tree.)
The experience is used to unlock Equipment to make your units stronger and eventually,
unlock the next Tier of units.
Tiers run from 1 to 10.

Tiers 1 & 2 are at the moment, VS AI only.
Mainly to get players to get to know the game better before they start pitting themselves against other players.
Tier 3 is both AI & PVP available.
Tier 4 and above are PVP only.
While players usually like to use the same type of unit for all 3 units for ease of use,
having two or more types of units gives you a 30% EXP bonus.

The rest is for you to find out by playing~
